26F Currently working as a Capital Rep for Stryker. Was an ASR for a year and have just wrapped up my first year as a rep. I am in a shared territory where we did hit quota. Is it crazy for me to consider taking a new salary position outside the industry? If we were to hit again in 2024 I would be taking close to a 40k paycut with the new position, but I feel like I would gain tremendously in my work life balance and overall be happier. The sales rep life is not something I love, and it seems those I work around live and breathe their job and are constantly thinking of ways to get home. That is not my mindset as I am more under the mindset you work to live not live to work. The new position is at a growing 50-60 employee financial company that is in Series B funding. Would give me stability and a daily routine and can continue to grow (another round of funding possible IPO). Looking for advice from those who have been in the industry longer or have had similar feelings??
