How many Empyrean wishes have you all saved in preparation for Caleb’s release? (+ Why you should start if you haven’t already!)

While it hasn’t been 100% confirmed, the likelihood of Caleb being the 5th love interest is very high (Infold could technically do the funniest thing and have a random guy be the 5th love interest, but we’d definitely get a riot on our hands if they did lmfao). Also, given what they pulled with Sylus’s myth release (doing a cat!butler themed quad banner right before the release of his myth which also coincides with Xavier branch story with no warning is diabolical), I wouldn’t be surprised if they released Caleb along with Sylus branch story during their anniversary or around Chinese New Year.

Anyways, assuming that they follow the same formula as they did for Sylus’s release, then you should all start saving your Empyrean wishes because the Pulse Hunter event (which we’ve only seen happen once during Sylus’s release) functions on the standard banner wishes. Worst case scenario is that you don’t need them, then you can just use all the wishes you saved in one go - you’re just delaying the usage a bit.

The basic mechanics of Pulse Hunter is as follows: 1. You get to select five 5* memories out of ALL the standard banner five-stars to add to the Pulse Hunter pool (this includes myths). 2. When you pull, any 5* is going to be only from the five you chose. 3. You can get duplicates (if your luck is shit, you might get the same 5* every time lol). 4. You will get a random 5* crate at 100 pulls (randomly pulls a 5* from the ones you selected) and a selector crate at 200 pulls. 5. There is a 350 pull-limit for the Pulse Hunter, after which the pool closes.

In my opinion, Pulse Hunter was one of the most worth-it events because it guaranteed you the ability to obtain and rank up myth pairs while also guaranteeing FIVE 5* memories in 210 pulls (and that is in the worst case scenario) using only empyrean wishes. Only downside was that we only knew about Pulse Hunter using standard banner wishes when it got released, so no one saved anything lol

For those who already maxed out Deepspace Gift (rewards for pulling in the standard banner) by getting to 600 pulls and collecting the last myth selector crate, my guess is that when Caleb gets released, they’ll increase the reward cap by another 300 pulls with two new myth selector crates at 750 and 900. If you’ve already reached 900 pulls, I recommend stopping and saving your empyrean wishes for the Pulse Hunter event :)
