is Louisiana worth moving to?

I’ve seen about 95% bad things about this state and 5% good, and i guess i’m wondering if all of louisiana is bad like its sound out to be? I’ve thought about moving there because i have family roots there, and a lot of my family has recently been wanting to move to texas, but i don’t like texas; BUT i still want to stay nearby, and louisiana is right next to them. Im mostly worried about education but also political beliefs, even though i try to avoid politics i am very left leaning, and i know that can get more rare the more south you go. I mean as long as i can coexist it’s probably ok. I also want to be a lawyer in the upcoming future, and of course i want to be a good lawyer and i’ll need good education, but Louisiana seems to have quite low education levels or opportunities. At least from what ive seen.

sooo.. is all of louisiana hell on earth? or are they some good areas that have great educational opportunities, low crime rates, etc?
