Is the term Butch outdated?

I'm 27 and when I had just started dating, the labels that people used were like fem/ butch/ the occasional futch, and studs. I understand the difference between a stud and a butch, I think. But has the term masc replaced butch? On the dating apps I see a lot of masc, soft masc and I keep on hearing about the apparent masc shortage. Is butch no longer a term in use?
