I played legends of runeterra when it first released loooong ago. Back then I think the only paid items in the game where cosmetics.

Now I just returned to the game and everything is so confusing. I have played a few matches and I'm remembering the turn order and stack.

What should I be doing in the game? What are these paths? The heroes having a skill tree and mastery is looking looking how team fortress 2 was ruined by items/skill trees.

Is this even a TCG at more? I'm not mad I'm just really confused.
