Lot of rain/snow lately, the sump pump is running but I noticed the wall is damp in this corner. Is this normal?
Just moved into this home a few months ago. I know there was water damage due to a failed sump pump as acknowledged by previous owners. I had the water remediation covered as part of the sale, hence the ripped out drywall.
I had a new pump and backup system installed and it’s running flawlessly, but I did notice the corner of the wall here is damp. Don’t see water anywhere else in the basement. Gutters recently cleaned out, so there shouldn’t be any issues there.
How serious of an issue is this? We’ve already dumped a ton of money into this home due to undisclosed/unknown issues and really don’t want to run into another huge issue here…
