Just had Surgery. Post op comments.

So I had Haital Hernia surgery this morning. I went in at 0530 and was in the operating room by 0730 and out by 10ish. The doc said it difficult up front (I had a partial whipple a few years back so I'm assuming the laproscopic was difficult due to scar tissue) but easier as they did the work inside.

I sat in recovery for a good bit due to low oxygen levels. Once I got to my room, they gave me some meds which caused a very uncomfortable pressure during swallowing but subsided with some movement. The incisions hurt but are managed well with pain meds. The breathing exercises hurt initially but are now tolerable due to meds. And the shoulder gas was bad until I started walking. I got most of it out, there is a small bit stuck in the shoulder joint which is driving me nuts but again, managed with meds.

Right off the rip, I can breath without that sensation of my lungs rubbing on something. I no longer hear that soft bubbly gurgle in my esophagus which was driving me insane. My heart palpitations are gone. I'm only 6 hours out but I'm so ecstatic.

Sorry if this is disjointed but I'm pretty up there with meds. I just wanted to give others advice/hope if possible.
