Tab S9+ draining itself dead when idle

I was at work today when my phone got a notification that my tablet was at 13% charge. I left work today at 7 AM and the tablet was at 80% charge since I left it charging overnight. The tablet was sitting idle on my nightstand doing nothing, so there's no reason it should have drained dead.

This isn't the first time this has happened before. I've seen it happen before and I have no idea what causes it. I got this tablet new only a few months ago, so it's not like the battery is dying. Has anyone else seen this issue? What can be done to fix it?
