Meet Pandora

Pandora was found 3 weeks ago in a cardboard box, suffering from cat flu and severely malnourished. I picked her up and took her to the vet straight away where she also tested positive for panleuk. It was a butt swap and only very faintly positive so the vet said it could be maternal antibodies that are showing up. I’ve never dealt with panleuk before and had a panic attack. My lovely foster colleague picked up my other kittens so that they weren’t at risk of getting sick from Pandora. She got her name because I felt like I had opened the Pandora’s box by the way. She didn’t eat or do anything else than being hunched over and clearly unwell. I was preparing myself to lose her. Everytime I checked on her, I was relieved to find her still alive. For 4 days I syringe fed her around the clock, which was a nightmare because she was so congested that she would panic and cough because she couldn’t coordinate eating&breathing. On day 4 she finally showed interest in eating herself and I was starting to hope that she can make it. And she did ❤️
