I need help finding a book: girl assassin, rescues a dragon and gets caught up in a royal politics and warfare

Update: I FOUND IT!!!! IT WAS THE FIRST BOOK IN THE BLOOD AND FLAME SAGA 🎊🐉🔥🩸 I kept thinking it might have been the dragon assassin series because they sounded so similar but I read the sample for those first two books and it was completely different. Then as I was falling asleep I saw the cover for "dragons kiss" and it looked so familiar so I read that sample and BAM THAT WAS IT OMG HAHAHAHA IM SO HAPPY THANK YOU GUYS 🙏💜💜🙏🙏💜

I read a book on Kindle unlimited last year but now my Kindle unlimited is expired and I can't remember what the book was 😭 it was part of a series

Basically this girl was raised in an assassin academy when her parents mysteriously "died" or "abandoned her" (I can't remember). She becomes one of the best assassin's in the program and is close with the leader. They all live in this huge castle on a mountain. It's some sort of cult thing but she eventually figures it out and escapes. While she's running, she saves a dragon from some other assassin's and I think the dragon follows her after that. A friend from the assassin's comes after her and I think he joins her in her travel to somewhere (the nearby civilisation?). She somehow ends up picking up another traveller on the way and she realises she needs to inform the king of an attack from the assassin's. Anyway, they go on that journey and all that and it turns out the second traveller was actually the prince in hiding. They make it to the king and try to save him from an assassination attempt (don't remember if they were successful) and then the assassin's draw back and scatter and I think that's where it ends.

The preview for the second book started with her helping the police type force from the civilisation they went to to hunt and fight Bad guys (stray assassin's?) in the town.

Any help is super appreciated but I'm not overly hopeful of finding my answer 😅
