Update: tips on making my last pump special
Update: I’m still not done pumping.
I know this probably isn’t the update you expected, but I’m still here and I’m still pumping. It’s been fluctuating around 3-4 ounces a day. We found out my body didn’t respond well to my MomCozy m5. Every time I use my spectra I get 1-2 ounces more. So I’m switching to just using my spectra (& permanently regretting selling my Willow 360). I’m so glad he’s getting my antibodies.
That being said, I will be slowly finishing this journey. I loved all the suggestions. I bought sharpies to write on my last milk bag (& will use that milk for my ring!). I’m also going to listen to two worship songs to last my pump duration. Then holding my son/giving him a bottle of my milk after and just taking my time. Snapping pictures. Journaling. Whatever I need.
We went through our deep freeze and with donor milk and 400 ounces of mine, we are so close to enough for a year of milk! Tallied it up to 2,250 needed and we are at 1,500 ounces right now. I’m so proud of myself and thankful to all the donor mamas who helped us get this close to our goal. 🤍
