Eufy Solocam Solar Panel is awesome!

I’ve had my Solocam for about a year now, and this was my first winter with it. During the darker months (October–December), I assumed the solar panel would be enough to keep it charged, so I didn’t manually charge the battery.

Unfortunately, the camera ended up completely dead for about a month. It wasn’t until we started getting more daylight that it came back to life. Since February 8th, I haven’t plugged the camera in at all, and to my surprise, the solar panel has been able to maintain the battery on its own!

I wasn’t expecting much since it struggled to charge in the winter (probably due to the cold and less sunlight), but now that spring is approaching, I’m hopeful again. I love this camera, but lesson learned—if you have a Solocam, make sure to charge the battery during the darker, colder months!
