...can a seasoned Etsy Seller help me understand shipping times? (3 pics attached for reference.)

I'm a fairly new vintage reseller (about 1 year now) ~ and the majority of my recent sales show delivery to my Buyers estimated to be "late". I've had steady orders, typically 1 a day, sometimes 2-3. However, I have an Etsy shipping conundrum.

To preface this:

  • a) my shipping weights/costs are ALL good, no issues there (only had one that I inadvertently included "media mail" as a shipping option and a Buyer selected that for a non-media item, good learning)
  • b) only ONE package in my year of shipping items was delayed in the US (by USPS, for no specific reason)(I don't ship internationally, only US)
  • c) Processing days are Monday - Friday, Saturday and ALL holidays
  • d) Processing time is 1-2 days, "as recommended by Etsy"

Received an order early this morning November 20th at 12:42a local time. It's going to Alaska, from Florida. On my Dashboard, it states to "ship within 1 week." On my Orders & Shipping tab, it states to ship by November 22nd. When I click into the Order to process it, it also states "Ship by Nov 22, 2024" BUT... "Buyer expects delivery by Nov 22-26." How can the Buyer expect delivery on the same day I'm supposed to ship it? Is this happening to others? Is this normal, or should I reach out to Etsy for an explanation? Does it show potential late delivery to my Buyers? (Package is going Parcel Select, so not overnight or anything priority.) How can such a large, profitable platform have such confusing messaging??

ANY insight, similar situations or good solutions....appreciated!
