Waxing Nightmare

Hi everyone. Been a licensed esthetician for two years and doing Brazilians the whole time - have only had a few slight issues when I was first starting out like everyone does. But today I had a horrible experience that has withered my confidence and messed with my head.

I've never had anything like this happen - but the wax straight up started breaking and ripping into pieces as I was waxing. None of it would come up and it was hurting my poor client so badly. After several nightmare pulls I ended up deciding to cancel the appointment and reschedule it with fresh wax due to the wax acting so strangely and me not wanting to put her through anymore pain : (

Have you ever had anything like this happen before? I think I just need to know I'm not alone. I had another Brazilian right after that I used different fresh wax with and everything went perfectly. I just don't know what to do if this happens to me again and I want to know I'm not the only one it's happened to lol.

The heat was broken today and all the rooms were colder than usual, plus the wax pot was off all night and had to be reheated, I'm guessing with old wax anyhow.

HELP I am terrified to see her again even though I know it'll be fine - it was like my worst nightmare.
