Tooth extraction question

I need an infected bottom left molar that needs to be extracted. My dentist recommends iv sedation but my insurance won’t cover it. I had a badly infected one pulled in October with just the numbing shots and it hurt a little bit but nothing crazy. Every place I called for sedation has me waiting literally 2-3 months and the infection is pretty bad. Should I just wait for my antibiotics to be over and just get it pulled with the numbing shots?
