I did it. I bought the donuts. They were... Okay

They were not the best donuts I've had. This is my personal opinion. To save you some time, I'm from Vancouver, the closest thing I can think to compare them to is Lee's Donuts. I'm not a huge fan of Lee's, but I can understand why some people like them.

Instead of a number rating, these are my thoughts.

  • If you were at Costco immediately before going to Tim Hortons to buy TimBits, buy these.
  • If you're happy and single, don't buy these. If you're sad and there's not a good donut shop, maybe buy these.
  • If you're a boss and you want to show your employees appreciation, you could consider these, but there's better options.
  • If you're looking at this sub planning a Costco run and are excited for these, temper your expectations.
  • If you really like strawberry things, you might like these more.
  • If you like apple or chocolate/Nutella donuts, you might be a little disappointed. They're not bad though.
  • If you need a pillow and don't care about skin care, these will work in a pinch.
  • If 7/10 means anything to you, this is what I'd give them. I have no complaints. I am a little sadder for having ate 6 of them and realizing there's so many more.
  • If you have a favorite donut place, go there instead and let it all out.
  • Don't tell your spouse you saw these get hyped up on the subreddit and that's why you're buying them. You might regret playing that card when they are like "These are... Okay"
  • If you really like dough, they are doughy.
  • I don't really think you can compare them to TimBits directly. They are too big. They are more like a... Quarter of a doughnut.
  • If you disagree with me, I respect your opinion. This is a post about donuts. It's not rocket appliances.
