Just a vent post about loiters
I had a really close match in a 1v1 as USF just recently, there was a decisive armored engagement in the lategame and I had the upper hand, I took out 2 of 3 of P4s with 2 shermans and a hellcat, all my armor was wounded and right when I try to back out, my opponent drops a loiter, by the time my tanks rolled out of the circle, I only had 1 sherman left which then got finished by his final P4. This engagement cost me the match
NGL I felt cheated, at no point in the match did my opponent ever reveal he went Luft, no fallschirm, no airstrikes nothing, so back teching into AA wasn't a priority; I'm frustrated because Axis AA is integral to most Axis builds and are so damn versatile, so they usually always have a counter to Allied airpower, whilst Allied AA generally is fragile and is poor at it's one job and you have to back tech costing you dearly in the arms race for armor
I know Relic will prolly never rework this dynamic and I just have to take my lumps (I still hate ALL loiters tho), I just wish that allied AA didn't feel like a huge gamble on whether or not I would get good mileage out of it, a quad 20mm can suppress on the move, but Axis infantry are made of steel since a quad .50 doesn't even make them flinch (an exaggeration I know but it's BS regardless)
