The hardest part is refraining from texting my ex about parts of my day and hearing about theirs
When something happens that made me laugh, even something mundane like the bus is late, or I snap a photo that they might like, a private joke, dinner plans a simple how are you, what are you up to, a good morning, a goodnight.
The hardest part is losing that someone who you tell everything to, who always picks up your calls and replies promptly to random questions.
And for me, that's when the loneliness really sets in and longing for what was.
