Finally spotted one of these, what is it?

G'day folks looking for alittle hand here, over past year or two I've noticed these tiny 20c coin size holes that generally have a almost Weblike liquid 'moat' around em coated in dust/dirt and sometimes have a silk lid. The moat wobbles apon touch but never have been able to entice the resident to come out willingingly

Today for first time I finally saw something moving down one of them holes so decided to try and dig it up to see what type of spider it is. I always assumed they were trap doors or something. Unfortunately this one got squashed 🥺 but I was amazed at the colors and the size of it, as its quite large despite being alittle... flat

Anyone able to tell me what type of spooder these are? Or was this just prey? Located Mid North, SA in a arid climate
