hit and run knocked off mirror. need it replaced ASAP. advice?

hi my car was parked outside my apartment and someone sped past and knocked it clear off. i have work tomorrow and am in school so i need my car working ASAP 💔 i am seeing a lot of people online saying that side mirrors are usually easy to fix, but i am not confident. i also see online people being quoted hundreds of $$$ to get something like this fixed and that also does not sound that great. i know i sound stupid (i am), is this something i can attempt to fix myself or do i just suck it and take it to a repair shop??
