How do I cure this?

ok so recently i've been noticing a different odor from my vaginal discharge. I searched it up and the symptoms matched with bacterial vaginosis (BV). I am not sure if it is that or not. I did tell my mom but she just brushed me off and didn't take me to a gynac.

I searched up how to cure it at home and it said Garlic helps, so i decided to give it a shot and I just ate a garlic. I'm not sure if this is gonna work tho. So if any girlies out there faced the same, please let me know what I should do and is it possible for BV to just cure itself?
