Our house came decked out in 20 year old GE Monogram kitchen appliances. One by one they've been dying this year. First was the cooktop, we replaced it with an Bosch Induction Benchmark cooktop (and bought all new pots & pans). Next was the dishwasher, which was replaced with a Bosch Benchmark dishwasher. All of these received really good reviews, which is why we've kept with the same brand.

Our built in GE Monogram Microwave has been half dead and we've just ignored it for now. The display failed last year, but the quick cook 30 second button worked just fine. Just count how many times you press it for your timer. We had a tech out to try to repair it, but all parts are no longer made. Earlier this week, it was finally claimed by the kitchen ghost. Random lights are blinking and none of the buttons work. A breaker reset doesn't fix it either.

So now I'm on the hunt for a replacement. However, looks like Bosch makes junk for microwaves, as the reviews are not as enlightening as they were for the dishwasher! In addition, the cabinet the current microwave sits in seems to be taller but shallower than modern built ins, especially for the Bosch brand. The GE one is 15 27/32 in deep, 21 7/8 in tall, & 29 25/32 in wide. https://appliances.monogram.com/us/specs/ZSC2001FSS It looks like our cabinet it currently sits in is possibly 21 inches deep, but we won't know until the current one is removed.

A look through Lowes/HomeDepot/BestBuy looks like we have Bosch, KitchenAid?, GE Cafe, & 1 LG to pick from. And they all may or may not fit. And what do you do for the 1-2 inch gap from the top we'll have?
