Why is the Like a Dragon Pirate Yakuza name so convoluted compared to Japanese?
I tried calling a local store today to pre-order this game and couldn't even remember the full title as to me it's so awkward. Apparently in Japan it's called "Like a Dragon 8 Gaiden: Pirates in Hawaii" while other regions have it as "Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii."
What gives? I thought they were dropping the "yakuza" bit from titles yet they decide to call it that now? And forego the Gaiden side story titling which they had used for "The Man Who Erased His Name." It's all a bit confusing.
Seems to me like they were being cautious and didn't think a pirate game had enough pull so they went for the yakuza angle again? Odd.
