X-Men Raid on Graymalkin

So this Story is Finished and I have thoughts on it and I wanted to share them cause I see hate for this story and I like it for the most part and wanted to know what everyone was feeling.

I quite liked this story for the most part, I don't tend to get mad all too much when it comes to superheros fighting, especially if it was said to be an extremely strong telapath that was making them more angry.

I think it's very well stated of where characters are at the moment with them dealing with Xavier returning. One of my favourite things about the book is Scotts admission to not wanting Charles to come back and him discussing that with Rogue. I only wish they had gone longer with it and didn't have issue 3 teasing us with Charles being evil and then that leading no where in the next issue.

I do have problems with the story, mainly them leaving really early and leaving when I feel like they wouldn't leave. Like the bad guy threatening their living spaces wouldn't be a thing that, in my mind, would stop the Xmen, especially Scott.

And I think Rogue's character is mainly intact with trusting Charles. Another problem in this story and hers is that I wish it was longer. I think it should have been 6 issues instead of 4 because it wraps up pretty quickly, and I feel they wanted to say more.

I liked, for the most part, the 2 teams interacting, especially in the early issues of Rogue and Scott talking, but the last issue, I feel they drop the ball. I thought them rushing the base was fun and had a light energy to it, and the mystery of the cells was cool. I just wish they had gone longer with it and did more reveals, but sadly, we only got 4 issues.

Also I wanted to say that bringing children into the fight and debating the ethics of it keeps coming up in these stories, and that's pretty boring. Now Xmen has multiple stories where 2 teams get mad at each other with kids being in a fight, and every time it's brought up, it's kind of annoying mainly because X-Men have always had young people on the team. (I don't have issues with that conversation entirely but it's brought up a few times in X-men stories and they never bring anything new to the table with it.)

I know its not a perfect story but I like a lot about it. I'm excited to see where this goes with the 5 super psychic people. I hope it's good 👍😎. What did yall think of it?
