How often do players check their social media/read their DM’s/messages? And how easily are the negative/hateful ones noticed?

No human being deserves hate or harassment, whether it's a man or a woman, a public figure, or just someone like us. But a lot of players, both WNBA, and soon to be WNBA, like Caitlin Clark, Aliyah Boston, Paige Bueckers, Angel Reese have been victims of stalkers or cyber trolls. Both by crazed alleged fans and degenerate gamblers (I've heard of gamblers harassing Boston on Tik Tok about losing bets on her player props for games).

How often do these players check their social media and how easily can DM's or messages be read? Because if a regular person like me or you can DM any of these players, then they should also be getting thousands of genuine fan messages saying things like good game, I'm a huge fan, I watch every game of yours, etc. Is it that obvious for a hateful message to get through to them? I don't use social media at all, so I have no clue how visible or easily read each message actually is.
