New Mods in town

So, r/wicked is under new management.
With the suspension of HappyArt8101, well, first things first. Let’s address the elephant, or Elephant. in the room. i will try to keep this section brief.

We both believe that the incident pertaining to X was extremely mishandled and definitely could have and should have been handled quite a lot differently. That was most definitely a high-tension situation and the moderator in question did not meet the mark. We both believed that many people were being banned unfairly. We will not apologize on behalf of Happy, we do not speak for them nor support their behavior and attitude towards sub moderation. We can only speak for ourselves as we were brought on to the team the very next day. They definitely had a very ‘hands-off stick to the shadows, don’t engage unless you feel it absolutely necessary’ approach. They were also, as I learned checking their profile the other day, moderator of 20+ other subs, including r/wickedmovie.

They got the position of mod and then top mod by requesting it in r/redditrequest as Eldi had been moved to inactive status and couldn’t add them themselves. And…well most of you know the rest from there, I have. Since the movie has come out this sub has shot up from 18k members, to 328k at the time of drafting this out. *now 330k at the time of posting*

the post welcoming back those unjustly banned has been pinned to the top, so’s not to have multiple posts with the same summary in it.

And now with all that out of the way. Lets start with the juicier stuff, new management and working on a new look. And plenty of stuff to be updated.
First things first, the boring stuff.

DA RULEZ. As you can see we added rules about generative AI. the reasoning for it explained in the rule itself, AI does cause a lot of mixed feelings in our experience. its a great novelty but its becoming all too common.

other rules will be looked at with a fine tooth comb and retooled to be more concise.

and the adoption of the 3 strikes system.

Many of you have requested new flairs for posts and user flairs. By now many of you have noticed that there are in fact new post flairs and some more to come.

The banner that had been being used has been there since the beginning, and it looked awfully stretched out and kinda awkward looking, really needed a fresh coat of paint. The current clock of the time dragon banner is our under-construction banner.

The thumbnail as explained by cable in other thread, to be linked below. Is us reaching out, trying to mend what was broken.
