Novel about mummy, adventure, horror, curse

I must've read the book 10 years ago. It was supposed to be a book for teens. I remember there was a teen boy protagonist who had dealings with mummy and egypt, some passages are pretty horrifying like bugs crawling out of human's skins and such.
