Iconic dry narration influences?
So my partner and I have been watching all the Studio Ghibli stuff we hadn’t seen yet on HBO Max.
We both love Wes, but there is a very uncanny similarity between the narration style and deliverance in a W.A. film and Pom Poko directed by Isao Takahata.
I can’t find anything that lists Pom Poko or Isao Takahata as an influence, but curious on others opinions.
