25F 159cm 35kg, questions about fatigue
Hi! Like the caption says, I’m 25F and 159cm/5’2.5 and 35kg/77lbs. Let me preface this by saying that I don’t have an eating disorder, i actually love my body the way it is right now and I’m looking to gain weight for more practical reasons.
Specifically, i want to solve my sleep problems and increase my energy. I get tired VERY fast. I’m a student so my schedule is flexible and I can fit a nap in the middle of the day, but I’m supposed to graduate soon and I’m worried about not being able to last an entire day of work. I can barely make it 10 hours without needing to sleep and getting very intense headaches.
I don’t even know if this is necessarily weight related but I’m at my wits end. I feel like I’m always running on low battery compared to everyone else and I’m willing to try anything to fix it. In terms of my lifestyle, I think I have a very balanced diet (Mediterranean diet) but I definitely eat small portions. My stomach is very small and it just doesn’t stretch— if I overeat i throw up almost immediately. So increasing portion size is really hard for me and I’d like to hear any other solutions you might have. This is what I eat in a day in terms of food: 6:30am- 2 cookies/a piece of cake (homemade 99% of the time) 9:00am- a sandwich from white bread (homemade) with cream cheese (I used to eat a 25% fat one but had to change to 5% because my SSRI made my cholesterol go up) and a vegetable (usually cherry tomatoes) 1pm- warm meal, usually some grain or carb (rice, pasta, couscous, potatoes) and a protein (meat, chicken or salmon) with cooked vegetables. 6pm- snack, this varies a lot, can be a fruit, some crackers and cheese, small sandwich, something sweet (chocolate, ice cream…) 8:30pm- dinner, almost always an egg in some shape or form, usually with bread or a bagel and vegetables and/or cheeses I drink mostly water. sometimes I drink sparkling water or a cup of soft drink. I also drink a cup of tea or hot chocolate almost every day (usually tea though).
In addition, I’m definitely not the most active person. On days I go to university I walk a decent amount. I took up swimming in October but had to stop in December because it became unbearably cold for me even though the pool is supposedly heated (skinny people problems, I’m sure a lot of you can relate). I will definitely start swimming again when the weather gets warmer because it was very fun. I haven’t enjoyed any form of working out I tried except for swimming.
That’s it I think! If there’s any information I forgot that you think might help let me know!
p.s posting this is really scary to me because I’m terrified that someone I know irl will see this and connect the dots. If by some crazy chance you think you know who I am please don’t ask because I will literally burn myself alive
