Weed at the club ?

Going out for the first time on Friday and I'm wondering wether to smoke a joint with my bro before the club ect,I'm a light smoker and smoke once every month or two but is it safe and okay ? Anyone have any past experiences ? And I will not be drinking alcohol while high I've heard many stories on how bad it is
