After 10 years finally getting back into water cooling
Had a water cooling setup back in 2014 but after cracking the plastic on my D5 pump top I went back to air cooling because I just couldn't spare the money at the time for a pump top replacement.
Welp, getting back into it now. Assembled most of the loop while waiting for the CPU water block to get delivered. Having the loop running to flush out the radiator. Have a top mounted fil port and a T fitting on the pump down below so when I need to drain it, I just flip the computer upside down, open the fill port and open the pump to let air in and everything drains out enough for service.
Planning eventually to get a 140mm rad up top (possibly also a 120mm in the back) then add the GPU to the loop as well (and some VERY much needed cable management)
But pretty happy with re-using parts I've had in storage since 2014/2015. Picked up an Alphacool pump top on Amazon for about $40 and found someone selling an Alphacool AM4 waterblock on ebay for cheap.
