Theorizing on the new area coming in Version 1.1

Alright, HERE is where we speculate on what the new area and enemy faction are going to be.

I already have my own theory to put forward, for you all to hear… what if the new area and the new faction involves the Cult of the Damned?

Think about it. The strongest V Blood who is explicitly a member of the Cult of the Damned is Cyril… who is also a prisoner of the Cult. If he’s the strongest, why the hell hasn’t he made an attempt to escape? It’s simple.

There’s somebody much stronger than he is directing the Cult.

This would explain the widespread reach that the Cult has in the world. They wouldn’t be able to run around rampantly unless they have a very powerful leader or powerful elites that can match anything the Church of Luminance throws at them.

Hell, if their area is north-east of Silverlight that means they are next door to two of the most powerful factions currently at play, that being the Church and the Transcendum. That means they’ve probably got really strong commanders and an extremely powerful leader.

But in all honesty, there are definitely holes in my theory. The High Priestess of the Cult is in Dunley, and isn’t all that strong. Cyril being a prisoner all his life could explain why he’s so easy to control, even with his power. The last major thing that puts a big hole in this theory is the lack of living units among the Cult of the Damned. It’s all undead and the only living ones are the V Bloods (I hesitate to call both Cyril and Kriig alive, though).

Anyhow, that was my theory on what the new area would be about… what about you guys? You got any theories y’all wanna drop here?
