How are so many people here finding great albums for $1-2 in thrift stores still?

In my local Value Village and Goodwill, most records are priced between $7-35 depending on the genre and artist. Anything Chicago online can go for $15 on thrift shops. And it’s even worse at used book store shops now as well. I see so many people in this sub finding things like The Smiths for $1-3 for example in Value Village.
