decision advise

so i’m a second time applicant and have gotten accepted to two schools so far, university of sydney and midwestern. i’m still hoping to hear back from a good amount of schools left BUT sydney’s start date is in february 2025 which put me in a tough situation… so I accepted my offer there (they only gave me 10 days to accept/reject the offer:/ ) with hopes that if I got another acceptance from another school I could withdraw and have more time to prep for the start of classes (because I would have to move from the US to Australia in literally a month vs having time to prep for a move within the US since classes would start August/Sept).

But my dilemma lies in whether I can justify choosing midwestern over sydney if those end up the only two options I have. Don’t get me wrong, I’m super grateful to have options but in my head the cons for both seem just so large:

sydney - im moving 14hrs away from home - i don’t know anyone there - i have to find housing in less than a month and don’t really know anything about the area

midwestern - the cost… (from aavmc the average cost for sydney would be ~$290k total vs midwestern at ~$480k total)

Im hoping that I get more good news from the other schools i applied to, but I’m running out of time and would need to plan asap if i choose sydney over midwestern, any advice would help so much <3
