Donut tasting

My fiancée is 8 months pregnant and craving donuts, so tomorrow we are dedicating half a day to driving around and trying a donut at different donut places. So Vegas, where does the best donut exist?

Edit: wow this blew up way more than I thought it would. Thank you guys for all the suggestions! We’ve decided to narrow it down to 6 spots. We will be stopping at Dee’s, Friendly’s, Carl’s, Randy’s, Ronald’s, and Pink Box. Will update which one is the winner tomorrow!

Edit #2: The tasting is complete. We liked Dulce the best but it was also the most expensive with an extra card fee on top of that. That being said, they were all good and I would recommend going to the one closest to you. Friendly’s is an honorable mention but very far out of town. Pink Box was not as bad as people make it out to be, but by far the most corporate feeling. We got one raised chocolate ring donut at each place and we personally like light and fluffy donuts. Here is our rating system.

Randy’s- Freshness: 5 Taste: 5 Lightness/Fluffiness: 3 Convenience: 5 (has drive through) Total- 18/20 Atmosphere- mural was cool, no seating or tables but big waiting area, felt like a franchise but still proud of their roots. Has a drive through

Ronald’s - Freshness: 3.5 Taste: 3 Lightness/Fluffiness: 3 Convenience: 3.5 (no drive through and in china town) Total- 13/20 Atmosphere- the best customer service of all, vegan options, not a lot of seating but good atmosphere

Dees- Freshness: 5 Taste: 4 Lightness/Fluffiness: 3 Convenience: 4 (no drive through) Total- 16/20 Atmosphere- family owned, cozy, small chain, amazing customer service

Carls- Freshness: 3.5 Taste: 3.5 Lightness/Fluffiness: 4 Convenience: 4 (no drive through) Total- 15/20 Atmosphere - excellent customer service, lots of seating, open layout, family owned but modern looking, bathrooms were very clean

Friendlys - Freshness: 4 Taste: 5 Lightness/Fluffiness: 5 Convenience: 3 (no drive through and cash only) Total- 17/20 Atmosphere - China-town-like, old-timey, Vegas pride

Dulce - Freshness: 5 Taste: 5 Lightness/Fluffiness: 5 Convenience: 4 (no drive through) Total- 19/20 Atmosphere - seating available, price was most expensive adds card fee, you can watch them make the donuts (barely), also other food and options available

Pinkbox- Freshness: 5 Taste: 5 Lightness/Fluffiness: 4 Convenience: 4 (no drive through at the location we went to) Total- 18/20 Atmosphere - very clustered, no seating inside, presentation of donuts was nice, huge selection
