Rules for walking on the Lions Gate bridge?
It’s my second day in Vancouver. Loving the amazing weather and friendly people so far! Though something peculiar happened earlier today.
My partner and I walked across the Lions Gate bridge, me in front of her, pressed against the railing so potential cyclists can pass us. A couple cyclists passed us without any issues, however one cyclist coming towards me was yelling at me. I couldn’t hear what he was saying due to noise pollution from the traffic but I assumed he wanted me to make room for him, so I did by moving to the other side of the walkway. As he passed, he stared me down. As a tourist I think I did my best to accommodate the cyclists but are there rules for which side I should be walking on? Let me know if I’m in the wrong so I can do the right thing next time.
