Applying to UW as a first year university student

I'm looking for advice on

• writing the AIF again,
• if there are still any adjustment factors,
• and if grades still matter more than projects/volunteering/jobs
• should I start early again?
• and any advice you might want to share!

so that I don't make the same mistakes as last time (want to apply to SE)!
