Parked for work, had a "neighbor"

It was a warm week and I figured id get better sleep in my truck than in the shelter so I parked in a big overnight parking lot for the week.

A few vehicles looked like they lived there, likely just parked and left because they dont run anymore or people cant afford to fix them or put gas in them.

Last night I was laying in bed listening to YouTube on my phone snuggling my cat when I see the front door to the mini van I parked next to open. A guy gets out, puts on a backpack, and walks off.

Im like "...k" (back to YouTube) didn't think anything of it.

3hrs later he's back, gets back in...but doesn't drive anywhere. hours go by.

Come 5am i wake up late to leave for work because my phones being a bitch about its battery lately and i didnt hear my watch, so i pop up and just happen to see the guy hopping out of the back of the van, then hops into the front.

I couldn't wait around to see if he left or not because I had to get to work but im 99% sure he didnt because I've seen that same van in that same lot with mountains of snow on it days even weeks after storms before. This was the first time I ever saw anyone in it.

Dude looked like someone just trying to save money by living in his van..like he had his shit together. There's a big van like 3 spots down I've seen..."excited and sleepy" people go in and out of for hours at a time..not living in there just using it as a bed if you know what i mean.

Its not exciting seeing another like me. It saddens me.
