You shouldn’t call yourself an 80/90’s kid if you don’t remember growing up during that decade.

I was born in 81 and consider myself a 90’s kid. Why? Because most of my formative experiences culturally ie; music and fashion happened in the 90’s not the 80’s. I know it’s a small hill to die on but when someone born in 1997 calls themselves a 90’s kid all I can think is that you spent the entire 90’s shitting your pants.

Edit: I can remember the 80’s and many childhood experiences from then. I am saying I began engage in the broader world and culture such as the things that I like, music, fashion etc in the nineties. I am not mentally deficient I remember my childhood from about 5/6 onwards lol.
