Putting food on a board does not make it charcuterie.
Charcuterie boards are, by definition, a collection of cold, cooked meats. A couple of nonspecific examples that grind my gears…
Have a collection of vegetables on a board? Thats crudite. Have a bunch of ingredients for chili on a board? That’s a chili topping bar. Have a board with pancakes and various toppings? That’s just stupid and impractical presentation.
They are not “chili-cuterie”, pancake charcuteries. You put food on a board, and it’s tacky, boring, and unoriginal.
For the record, I love charcuterie. Actual… charcuterie.
