Getting worried about my UK spousal visa extension application from within the UK

Hello, I received an email on 12th December and wanted to know if anyone else has received a similar one.

The email was sent from the address [ICcaseprepexclusions@homeoffice.gov.uk](mailto:ICcaseprepexclusions@homeoffice.gov.uk), which seems unusual. Could this just be due to a backlog in visa processing or a policy change?

I’m applying for an extension of my family(spouse) visa from within the UK. I submitted my application on 23rd October and attended my biometric appointment on 30th October. Previously, the Home Office sent me an email stating they aimed to give me a decision by 18th December, but that hasn’t happened.

I believe I’ve met all the requirements, including maintaining £62,500 in cash savings for six consecutive months prior to my application (since my initial visa was granted before 11 April 2024) and meeting the English language requirement.

It has been almost a month since I received this email, so I am just getting more and more anxious.

Has anyone experienced something similar or has insight into this situation? Thank you.
