Aquarium safe paint

Hi guys!

I have an acrylic divider inside my tank I would like to paint it in a dark color but I'm not sure if the paint can risk my turtles health.

After searching around in Google, seems like acrylic paint is safe after proper curing in fish tanks but I would like to double check this with other turtle owners that have experience with paint.
