How to go about the sitter matching process?
Hi! I opened my first listing today and have gotten 5 applicants already. Not sure how I should proceed with the chatting part.
Out of the 5 I really liked 2 who had previous experiences and have started a chat with them.
- Is it okay to chat with both and should I let them know I'm reviewing one other applicant?
The other 3 sitters are not ideal as two of them have no reviews yet and the other had some negative reviews. Since it's my first listing and it's a longer sit, I do not think they are a great match so is it okay to reject them after sending:
"Thank you for applying but I have shortlisted another sitter and am planning to move ahead with them, will let you know if that falls through."
I just don't know what the etiquette should be for this and it's really hard to reject people. I know you can only have 5 applicants at a time so does it make sense to reject the non ideal ones quickly?
