Pharoah: Dynasties is on sale at £15 - Absolute steal. Try it if you haven't, you won't be disappointed.

TW PD is currently on sale at £15. At release I was, along with everyone else, a TW P hater - it was overpriced, CA were acting like nobs with their price gouging, etc. At the current price however the game is an absolute steal. I am writing this post to encourage more people to try it; I'm aware that many TW fans have not tried it (I hadn't) and honestly they're doing themselves a disservice.

A year has passed. The Dynasties update completely revolutionised this game. The quantity and quality of features available is just next level - probably the best TW game I've played in years (I have 2-3000 hours across the WH TW games, 2000 hours in R2TW).

I'm on this forum regularly and I see the justified complaints people have about the failings of TW WH - many of these are addressed in TW PD, and it makes a huge impact to your TW experience.

Campaign - The depth of campaign mechanics is astounding - dynamic character traits, family trees, factional mechanics (lots of surprisingly diverse factions to choose from), a huge map, diplomacy second only to TW TK, a diverse roster of units, an **ACTUALLY COMPELLING** end game thanks to the administration mechanic, disaster-age progression, I could go on.

Technically - the game is stunning, runs buttery smooth, graphics and sound are fantastic, AI is far better than TW WH.

Battles - may not have the monsters or single entities we have come to expect in TW WH, however in terms of historical combat it's never felt better. The lack of cavalry is made up for in the way the different infantry units fight (it's easier to play it than explain it). Combat is slower than any entry since perhaps Med 2 and feels far more tactical than recent entries.

Summary - I would simply encourage more people to try this game. Sophia clearly made TW PD as a passion project, the fact that because of CA's poor business practice many TW fans are not getting to experience this is a crime. I would implore any and all TW fans to buy the game - at £15 in the current Steam sale (less than the rather lacklustre recent TW WH DLC's) I can very confidently say you won't be disappointed (Steam reviews agree - currently sitting at 84% to TW WH3's 71%).
