Another Kislev rework copium post

I love Kislev, I like their theme and their geography. Kislev mechanics in game are of course a bit underwhelming in many places.

  • Boyars
    • take Boyars and split them into 'Boyar Scions' or just 'Scions' with the classic Boyar become sudo-LL rewards for the supporter race. Certain province ownership and city-province(Praag, etc.) gives you a buffed Boyar (noble) that supports you in the race.
    • Scions or Boyar Scions would be failed or rejected nobles. Generic lords. Thematically could be recruited by Ostankya now.
  • Streltsi generic lord
    • 'streltsi lieutenant' a bit of a mirror of irl russian cossacks.
    • pistol + shashka (scimitar) general
    • gains a horse mount, to fill that cavalry officer role
    • buffs strelsi directly, gunpowder units, horse units
    • unique blue skill line giving better recruitment options
    • make streltsi more relevant again
  • Boris rework
    • repurpose Markus mechanic where Boris gets specific reinforcement wave depending on who he throws his support to. Katarin = ice units, spell bonuses and magical/monsters, Kostaltyn = kossars, patriarchs and non-magic units.
    • a better Raze mechanic that:
      • prohibits recolonization in a razed settlement for a set amount of turns on Chaos Waste settlements
      • gives bonuses to player armies "armies in region" for those locations
      • could Boris a movement bonus, similar to Skarbrand's and Taurox's rampages.
  • Kostaltyn
    • repurposed Slaanesh mechanic where Kostaltyn can spend devotion to 'convert' enemy units to his side (mortals only)
    • better Patriarchs
      • ability to spend devotion and recruit "devoted patriarchs" or whatever you call (repurposed nurgle plague cultist mechanic)
      • dispatched to trigger more powerful rebellions (agent eliminated upon execution)
      • other unique auctions I can't think of right now
  • Katarin
    • nothing I can think of yet. The boyar rework above I already mentioned helps both Katarin and Kostaltyn already
    • edit: Ice Court Coven
      • while still recruiting your ice witch lords, the Ice Court now also tasks the witches to take control of specific regions in and outside of Kislev.
      • Working on a bounty/mission system, the player is giving random regions to send their Ice Witches and take it over, build a new defensive building (Ice Witch Coven) which rewards them with supporters, devotion and buffs the Ice Witch lord in that region
      • incentivizes expansion
      • could be tasked with taking certain regions in the Empire, Norsca, Cathay, Kislev etc.
  • Freebie units/reskins
    • Druzhina's Men
      • tier 1or tier 2, great axe weapon variant of a kislevite.
      • reminiscent of the chaos -gor units we've been getting in the DLCs
    • Kislev pirates-no name yet
      • tier 2 unit, dual sword
      • high leadership or just unbreakable, no armor
      • reminiscent of the flagellants of the Empire.
      • landmark building at castle alexandronov or Erengard or cut in a new settlement on coast of the Gulf of Kislev

  • Ostankya
    • nothing specific I guess, all of the above makes her more enjoyable already.
    • maybe move her again but I don't know where. Maybe in Norsca but it's getting crowded up there.
