What aspect of your parenting are you super proud of?
I think we’ve all experienced some level of I’m not doing this thing enough or too much, just a general feeling of inadequacy while we navigate the waters of parenting with little humans who are like slippery fish at times.
What is something you are really proud of? A part of your routine, a singular moment, a mindset, anything at all.
Mine would be reading to my kids. I’m really proud that my three year old has gotten to a point where she enjoys me reading her full stories, and it’s a crucial part of her fall asleep routine. I’m proud that’s she’s being introduced to new words. I’m proud that she’ll pretend to read, makes up her own stories, and is just generally interested in books, because for a long time it felt like it wouldn’t happen. It’s important to me to try my best to instill a love of reading in my kids, and it makes me happy that every night my oldest daughter enjoys being read to sleep.
Edit: keep the replies coming, but this thread has been so heartwarming and has given me an extra burst of energy on a day where I have a lot going on!
