Guidance on switching from medspa to telehealth
Hello! I would love some advice / input / guidance on switching to a more cost effective option. Here’s some background:
I’ve been using a local medspa since late April and have enjoyed the experience of the weekly ritual of an RN or NP doing my injection. I have had monthly apts with an NP to discuss overall goals and long-term plans with some conversation on other potential intersecting issues (peri/menopause mainly).
I have done a steady titration up and am currently on 7.5mg 1x/week at $122 each week. This seems unnecessarily high. After next week I will have been on 7.5 for a month and could likely stay at 7.5. The NP does not want her patients to go beyond this.
I would feel pretty comfortable managing this on my own at this point. I could see myself maybe going up to 10mg for a month and then titrating down and getting to a maintenance dose.
I’m 5’7” and have had great success so far. (See stats below.) I am mindful of the cost, though, and want to be smarter about this in the coming months and the long-term maintenance.
If you start with a medspa, how do you switch easily and who would be the most helpful with this situation?
