250$ which Pad?

Hey guys. I just wanna day that looking at this community makes me both excited and jealous of some of your machines. I want to join the family and I did own a X1 6th gen Carbon but returned it for a Legion Y720.

So, I want your advice at what to buy for a very limited budget. Obviously I want used haha but I cannot decide what would be the best used pad to buy. I really need a laptop for just taking notes during school.

My main priorities are A. I want a thinkpad. B. Battery life is major. And C. I want decent portability although I just want A and B more. If you guys have any ideas of which thinkpad to buy and what sites would be best please please please let me know. Thank you and I want to say I do like this small community and love the posts.
