Sopranos Ending
I just watched the last episode of the Sopranos. I thought the ending was beautiful and poetic. It is an open ending, which is why I can understand why there are so many Reddit posts about the very last scene. I also understand that from the perspective of some of the American viewers, it is a very unsatisfactory ending because you have to fill it in yourself. But that is precisely what makes this choice the best the creators could make.
You may, of course, make up your own mind what happens after the sudden end. There are whole theories on this. For me, the crucial scene is the brief conversation between AJ and Tony. After all, AJ says, "the glass is half full" and Tony reacts somewhat surprised when AJ tells him it was Tony's own message to AJ back in the day.
It's an ending that reminds me of European (Italian/French) cinema. It forces you to think about it.
I am European myself so perhaps that is why I am so complimentary of the creators' choice.
