Sims 1 Re-Release on Mac via PortingKit?

Since there is supposedly going to be a re release of Sims 1 and 2 coming out tomorrow and it is probably only going to be available for Windows I was wondering what Mac users could do to get to play it as well.

Does anyone know if things like PortingKit or something similar could probably work. I have an M1 MacBook myself and would really like to play this again. Or would parallels oder crossover work to get it to work. I have never tried any of those and actually never play on my MacBook but the Sims has me really intrigued.

Would appreciate your thoughts and ideas on this.
